Today, eBay bans bitcoin...
I woke up this morning to a very sad e-mail. My e-bay listing that I had active since late 2013, always accepting bitcoin, was removed. Amoung a bunch of other nonsense in the e-mail, it said: "Please understand that you mentioned you accept "Bitcoin" as a method of payment. Some online payment companies are fairly new and inexperienced and they do not provide sufficient fraud protection to members. When we review payment methods to determine whether they are allowed on eBay, two key factors that we consider are "Security and Safety" and "Ease of use". Please do not offer this payment method." It's important to note in my listing that I also very explicitly stated that the customer must pick up the product in person from me, and that I do not ship. There is no fraud risk when we meet face to face. Has anyone else experienced this? Fortunately, craigslist has not yet taken similiar measures. My listing is still active there (https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mat/5078726694.html).
eBay just banned my Casascius physical Bitcoin listings as "electronic currency".
After reviewing your eBay account, it appears that you have violated eBay's Digitally Delivered Goods policy. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
Violating listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.
We have credited all associated fees except for the final value fee for your listing(s).
Listing digitally delivered goods outside of the Classified Ad format in the Everything Else > Informational products category is not allowed. The guidelines for digitally delivered goods help prevent feedback manipulation or artificial increases in eBay seller ratings. The guidelines also help protect members by preventing item listings that may infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. You can list most digitally delivered goods, but only if you use the Classified Ad format and list your item in the Everything Else > Information Products category. Here's more information on our policy: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/downloadable.html You have listed a Bit Coin. eBay has made the decision not to allow Bit Coins or any other variation of electronic currency at this time. Please do not try and relist this item. If you have more questions, contact our policy experts: http://ocsnext.ebay.com/ocs/home
Is it likely Ebay would ban me for selling a Bitcoin themed leather wallet?
My product has a metal Bitcoin emblem on it and could be used for storing a paper wallet; is that grounds for Ebay to cancel my auction? I didn't list them yet, and now I might not. I thought the item's theme wasn't important (like people putting marijuana leaves on t-shirts where marijuana is illegal,) but am I wrong? I don't want to get banned before I even get started.
The state of cryptocurrency in China. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are lying.
It's been a while since I outlined the state of cryptocurrency in China, but I should probably tell you guys why this is important first: Journalists will do anything to shill you their "news" so they can get their sponsor dollars. Crypto YouTubers who comment on the story without reading the original news story or transpiration of events in Chinese further distort this message. With that out of the way, let's dive in to free knowledge. -Mining is just fine, so long as miners have all of their documents properly registered. The Chinese government thinks, "Whatever, sell this stuff to foreigners. We'll gladly let more USD flow in to our economy in exchange for thin air." -Most Chinese-owned exchanges set up offices abroad, usually in Singapore. Some have dev teams in Malaysia / Taiwan. -The Chinese government hasn't really out-right BANNED crypto ownership as far as I know, but they have certainly made it very difficult to own it. Which leads me to these two points: -I tried sending an APK file for an android phone wallet app to an American buddy of mine and his Chinese-made phone with a specialized Chinese distro of android would not allow him to install it. He sent me a screenshot that showed his phone basically displayed, "Unable to install application." or something similar. -I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Chinese-made distros of Windows, Linux, or Macintosh-specific operating systems do not allow users to install wallets to their desktops either - but I have not verified this. -These last two points can be circumvented by buying phones and operating systems made for foreign countries on China's ebay equivalent, Taobao. -There have been previous court-rulings where bitcoin was recognized as PROPERTY. -My view is that the CCP's attitude is, "Less crypto, less headache. Turn it in to USD and bring it in to China." -I would not be surprised to learn that later down the road the CCP makes a list of present cryptocurrencies that may be bought and sold legally in China in the future. I would only be shocked if bitcoin were not on that list. -It is commonplace for employees of exchanges to get paid in crypto in China. This is usually done with a stablecoin. -I have an undergraduate degree in Chinese and previously worked for a Chinese-owned exchange. This is where my knowledge comes from. -Everything listed here to this point in time should be treated like "law" unless Xi Jinping himself or another government official say otherwise in the near future. Any questions? Fire away.
Tried to sell Bitcoins on Ebay-got banned within hours
This is what i got from them: After reviewing your eBay account, recent activity has raised serious security concerns. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account: - Your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely. - Item listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email. You won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account. Paypal and eBay have wronged me and others. Offering reward of 1- 5 Ltc Lealana coin. Paypal banned all bitcoin and others. Even physical coins. PLUS eBay forcing to list items in "classified" category. Froze all my accounts. "Bad faith"
Offering reward of 1- 5 Ltc Lealana silver funded coin. *see below. If you don’t care about his topic, please don’t waste your time reading it and please save your comments. Help from anyone here or anyone selling bitcoin type items that has been wronged by Paypal or eBay is much appreciated. Let's get David Marcus involved in tweets or whatever necessary to fix this. I saw a post from a few days ago where a reddit member was told he couldn't sell mining equip by paypal and it looks like it stirred up enough to get resolved. http://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/1v12p4/well_done_paypal_well_done_jerks/ (also see article from wired:) http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2014/01/paypal_bitcoin/ Paypal and eBay have being ruining my business and the business of others eBayers. They are operating in bad faith and bad business. They appear to be targeting established sellers with goods sales volume (and perfect feedback, go figure). Paypal banned all bitcoin and other e-currencies. Even physical coins. PLUS eBay forcing to list items in "classified" category. Froze all my accounts. "Bad faith" business by both as others continue to sell as auctions and accept paypal. Have emails to prove such. It started in Oct when Ppal said they considered sellers a "money services business", and threatened to freeze my accts if not stop using ppal for sales of bitcoin, or other e-currencies. I was selling paper wallets and physical coins. I provide insured s/h and del signature. NOT digital transfers subject to disputes. They instructed me to cancel all current listings and refund sales not yet shipped. I complied, much to dismay of buyers, and wasted a bunch of time explaining to buyers and disputing neg feedback, which all got resolved positively. I appealed to paypal compliance dept and acceptible use departments on the basis these are "physical items", not digitally delivered goods" or electronic currency. The physical metal coin is just a store of the numbers which correlate to an actual digital coin/currency. A metal coin in and of itself cannot technically be a bitcoin, it's actually a collectible. I asked for permission to at least sell the physical coins. “ 12/5/13 to compliance, aup, rswebhelp, bcc: me Hello, I need paypal's immediate assistance. BITCOIN, LITECOIN, e-CURRENCY violations. I am complying , however MY restriced use of paypal for these items in unfair and unethical business practices if OTHERS CONTINUE TO BE ALLOWED to violate your policy with no consequences. My account was restricted a few weeks ago and I have complied and since had it restored, I was informed you are working on the situation for prohibiting sellers who sell bitcoins, litecoins, or other e-currencies from accepting paypal as payment. Per an email from ppal support, I was OFFICIALLY told in writing these items were not permitted and was asked to even report the items if seen on ebay. There CURRENTLY are upwards of 1000 LISTINGS IN VIOLATION on ebay right now in related categories. MY LISTINGS WILL NOT sell as well or at all if I cannot accept paypal and others can. I just had a couple listings close with no bids that otherwise would have sold. THIS IS UNFAIR. I will happily forward you listing numbers on ebay in violation, however a simple search for: bitcoin litecoin brings up hundreds and hundreds and I would assume paypal has compliance staff in place to easily accomplish this. Kindly contact and limit these sellers as well. I had to cancel out and refund over 20 transactions a few weeks ago per paypal's advice due to your policies, much to the dismay of the buyers, and if this is to be enforced and is the policy, then other sellers need to be aware of this as well. These sellers must be held to the same standards as I or any other seller is held. My credibility as a seller when stating I cannot accept paypal must also have basis and credibility, and this cannot be accomplished with other sellers having listings for the same items and accepting paypal. You urgent assistance in this matter is much appreciated. Please reply to this and update me as to your course of action in this matter. Regards, ********* “ My biggest argument to them was that if I and others are to comply, it MUST BE A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. The ongoing,(still to this day) hundreds of listings on eBay for both digital and physical items which accept paypal as payment is blatant BS! They keep stating they are not targeting anyone and are trying to shut everyone down, but they just don't seem to do it. They even sent me a letter encouraging me to "report" listing number violations that I see, which I stated should be their job, and not a real difficult one at that, where they only have to search "bitcoin" on eBay to find all the voilators, and then click a button to send a msg to that ppal customer. I also recommended they get with eBay and have a programmer fix the payment options prompt to not offer paypal as an option. I moved forward, without a choice, and by early Dec I had been listing my items w/o ppal as option, offering skrill, propay, and bank dep/wire, and only having minor success and many cancelled sales from buyers who didn't read the listing, (which I described in detail the situation). Paypal cost me many sales and wasted a lot of my time. I thought I was in luck when paypl compliance dept finally answered my appeal on 12-8-13, and said: "Dear ****, In regards to your previous inquiry, PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy for money service businesses does not permit our users to operate as a e-currency exchange, currency exchange or check cashing business. However, PayPal can be used to sell currency as a collectible in which sales of collectible currency cannot reach the threshold of $1,000 USD per person, per day. For further confirmation in regards to the use of PayPal for the sale of physical, collectible coins in relation to Bitcoins, you may want to submit a detailed item description so that it may be reviewed and to confirm compliance with PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy. Sincerely, Alex PayPal Compliance Department" I read this as collectible format was ok, and the recommendation I "may" want to submit further info as that I had wasted enough time and honestly didn't want to rock the boat. Fast fwd to Jan 2, received this email, (again) : "Dear *****, We have reviewed your PayPal account and found that you have been involved in the sale of electronic media exchange (such as electronic money or digital currency). Per our current Acceptable Use Policy for Money Service Businesses, PayPal may not be used for currency exchange including the sale of Litecoin and any form of ecurrency. To continue using your PayPal account, we need some additional information from you. Please provide us with a signed and notarized affidavit stating that you understand and will comply with PayPal's terms and conditions." Also received call from compliance same day saying they warned me before and will freeze account. The agent was very rude and condescending and I had him reference the letter received giving permission to sell currency to a particular daily threshold, which he did not interpret the same way. I asked, much to his dismay, to speak with supervisor, which he finally complied after 3 or 4 requests, Supervisor was cordial at least and said they are working to shut everyone down, and gave me an “extended date, since it sounded like I had been thru the ringer”, of 1-17-14 to comply and send in affidavit. A few days later, eBay cancelled all my listings on 2 separate accounts and suspended my one account for 3 days. They now state, verbatim: "Jan 8, 2014, eBay eBay sent this message to ****** (cflow01). Your registered name is included to show this message came from eBay. Learn more about how to tell if an email is really from eBay. Here are the listings that were removed: 291052195953 - Litecoin 5 Ltc .25 oz Physical Lealana Silver Coin (Not Bitcoin, PPC, Digital) 291052200502 - Litecoin 10 Ltc Physical Lealana .999 Silver Coin (Not Bitcoin, PPC,FTC,Digital) 291052372404 - Titan Physical Bitcoin btc high security (Not Casascius, Litecoin, Ftc) We appreciate your understanding. Thanks, eBay " If you note, they even state you can't use paypal. If fact, in an interview with cnet on Dec 10: http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57615080-93/paypal-president-david-marcus-bitcoin-is-good-nfc-is-bad/ Mr. Marcus, paypal president states: "I really like Bitcoin. I own bitcoins." "People are confused. They think because it's called cryptocurrency it's a currency. I don't think it is a currency. It's a store of value, a distributed ledger." How can paypal and eBay say you are selling a digital currency when the very president of Paypal states it's not even a currency? Bottom line, Paypal and eBay are in the wrong here, at least in the fact they are acting in bad faith and in bad business in targeting certain sellers and not holding everyone to the same standards. Let's get Mr. Marcus involved here. Let's hold them accountable and at least consistent in their rules. Spread the word, especially if you are one of the ones being wronged. Let's get this resolved, let's band together, let's seek legal action if need be. ( I have spoken to my friend, an attorney briefly.) *I will even give that 5 Ltc coin mentioned above to the person who helps most if we can get Paypal and eBay to see the light and allow the use of paypal or the use of standard ebay listing formats, or at least get them to guarantee in writing (and actually honor it) to make everyone follow the rules. Sorry for the long post here, but this is one of the most frustrating things I have had to deal with in a long time and they are truly hurting our credibility and ability to sell in a fair marketplace. I, like many I am sure, have a lot invested in this. Please help! Thank you in advance!

I was scammed out of almost £3000 through paypal. What do I do? I need some advice on how to proceed. On May 21st, I made contact with someone that was highly rated and ranked well on cryptocurrency trading website - www.localbitcoin.com. After chatting with that person for a while, I accepted a trade for amount of just under £3000 and once the money from that person appeared in my Paypal account, I transferred to my bank and transferred ownership of bitcoin to that person. The IP showed that the person is in USA and saw spem precious trades in their wallet . The next day I woke up to all transactions reversed by paypal and my account in negative balance. I contacted the person through localbitcoin only to find their account banned. I filed a support ticket through localbitcoin.com but since i am not Finnish resident, they will not cooperate with any police or law enforcement unless they are contacted by Finnish police. I also found that I was not the nly one who got scammed that day as a person contacted me through reddit and we made contact on whatsapp. Ive tried contacting Paypal, but their support is offline due to covid-19. Yesterday I was on the chat support with them for over 3 hours and got passed around 17 different people. Finally, they just stopped responding. They did mention that the person who sent me the money contacted their financial institution and claimed those transactions were unauthorised. This is the same thing that happened to the other person who got scammed. Paypal are now contacting me daily to restore my negative balance by adding money to them while I am not able to get in touch with anyone in customer service. They are stating that since the transaction is for personal use and not for ebay purchase, they are not able to do anything and I should contact the buyer. I filed a report with ActionFraud (I am in UK), but the person who sent me money is in Nevada USA. I k ow who this person is by doing a little research. I contacted that person but not receivwd any response to my emails or calls. What do I do?
Imagine if there was one desk that all stories could cross so that, at 4am, a media plan could be decided upon and disseminated where all news outlets coordinated to set the goalposts of debate and hyper focused on specific issues to drive a narrative to control how you vote and how you spend money; where Internet shills were given marching orders in tandem to what was shown on television, printed in newspapers and spread throughout articles on the World Wide Web. https://i.imgur.com/Elnci0M.png In the past, we had Operation Mockingbird, where the program was supremely confident that it could control stories around the world, even in instructions to cover up any story about a possible “Yeti” sighting, should it turn out they were real. https://i.imgur.com/121LXqy.png If, in 1959, the government was confident in its ability to control a story about a Yeti, then what is their level of confidence in controlling stories, today? https://i.imgur.com/jQFVYew.png https://i.imgur.com/ZKMYGJj.png In fact, we have a recent example of a situation similar to the Yeti. When Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch met on the TARMAC to spike the Hillary email investigation, the FBI was so confident it wasn’t them, that their entire focus was finding the leaker, starting with searching within the local PD. We have documentation that demonstrates the state of mind of the confidence the upper levels of the FBI have when dealing with the media. https://i.imgur.com/IbjDOkI.png https://i.imgur.com/NH86ozU.png The marriage between mainstream media and government is a literal one and this arrangement is perfectly legal. https://i.imgur.com/OAd4vpf.png But, this problem extends far beyond politics; the private sector, the scientific community, even advice forums are shilled heavily. People are paid to cause anxiety, recommend people break up and otherwise sow depression and nervousness. This is due to a correlating force that employs “systems psychodynamics”, focusing on “tension centered” strategies to create “organizational paradoxes” by targeting people’s basic assumptions about the world around them to create division and provide distraction. https://i.imgur.com/6OEWYFN.png https://i.imgur.com/iG4sdD4.png https://i.imgur.com/e89Rx6B.png https://i.imgur.com/uotm9Cg.png https://i.imgur.com/74wt9tD.png In this day and age, it is even easier to manage these concepts and push a controlled narrative from a central figure than it has ever been. Allen & Co is a “boutique investment firm” that managed the merger between Disney and Fox and operates as an overseeing force for nearly all media and Internet shill armies, while having it’s fingers in sports, social media, video games, health insurance, etc. https://i.imgur.com/zlpBh3c.png https://i.imgur.com/e5ZvFFJ.png Former director of the CIA and Paul Brennan’s former superior George Tenet, holds the reigns of Allen & Co. In 1973, Allen & Company bought a stake in Columbia Pictures. When the business was sold in 1982 to Coca-Cola, it netted a significant profit. Since then, Herbert Allen, Jr. has had a place on Coca-Cola's board of directors. Since its founding in 1982, the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference has regularly drawn high-profile attendees such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Rupert Murdoch, Barry Diller, Michael Eisner, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Johnson, Andy Grove, Richard Parsons, and Donald Keough. Allen & Co. was one of ten underwriters for the Google initial public offering in 2004. In 2007, Allen was sole advisor to Activision in its $18 billion merger with Vivendi Games. In 2011, the New York Mets hired Allen & Co. to sell a minority stake of the team. That deal later fell apart. In November 2013, Allen & Co. was one of seven underwriters on the initial public offering of Twitter. Allen & Co. was the adviser of Facebook in its $19 billion acquisition of WhatsApp in February 2014. In 2015, Allen & Co. was the advisor to Time Warner in its $80 billion 2015 merger with Charter Communications, AOL in its acquisition by Verizon, Centene Corporation in its $6.8 billion acquisition of Health Net, and eBay in its separation from PayPal. In 2016, Allen & Co was the lead advisor to Time Warner in its $108 billion acquisition by AT&T, LinkedIn for its merger talks with Microsoft, Walmart in its $3.3 billion purchase of Jet.com, and Verizon in its $4.8 billion acquisition of Yahoo!. In 2017, Allen & Co. was the advisor to Chewy.com in PetSmart’s $3.35 billion purchase of the online retailer.

"The problem with George Tenet is that he doesn't seem to care to get his facts straight. He is not meticulous. It is now clear that we are facing an implacable enemy whose avowed objective is world domination by whatever means and at whatever costs. There are no rules in such a game. Hitherto acceptable norms of human conduct do not apply. If the US is to survive, longstanding American concepts of "fair play" must be reconsidered. We must develop effective espionage and counterespionage services and must learn to subvert, sabotage and destroy our enemies by more clever, more sophisticated means than those used against us. It may become necessary that the American people be made acquainted with, understand and support this fundamentally repugnant philosophy.
Intelligence historian Jeffrey T. Richelson says the S.A. has covered a variety of missions. The group, which recently was reorganized, has had about 200 officers, divided among several groups: the Special Operations Group; the Foreign Training Group, which trains foreign police and intelligence officers; the Propaganda and Political Action Group, which handles disinformation; the Computer Operations Group, which handles information warfare; and the Proprietary Management Staff, which manages whatever companies the CIA sets up as covers for the S.A.
…Those operations we inaugurated in the years 1955-7 are still secret, but, for present purposes, I can say all that’s worth saying about them in a few sentences – after, that is, I offer these few words of wisdom. The ‘perfect’ political action operation is, by definition, uneventful. Nothing ‘happens’ in it. It is a continuing arrangement, neither a process nor a series of actions proceeding at a starting point and ending with a conclusion.
CIA FBI NSA Personnel Active in Scientology: https://i.imgur.com/acu2Eti.png When you consider the number of forces that can be contained within a single “political action group” in the form on a “boutique investment firm,” where all sides of political arguments are predetermined by a selected group of actors who have been planted, compromised or leveraged in some way in order to control the way they spin their message. https://i.imgur.com/tU4MD4S.png The evidence of this coordinated effort is overwhelming and the “consensus” that you see on TV, in sports, in Hollywood, in the news and on the Internet is fabricated.
Under the guise of a fake account a posting is made which looks legitimate and is towards the truth is made - but the critical point is that it has a VERY WEAK PREMISE without substantive proof to back the posting. Once this is done then under alternative fake accounts a very strong position in your favour is slowly introduced over the life of the posting. It is IMPERATIVE that both sides are initially presented, so the uninformed reader cannot determine which side is the truth. As postings and replies are made the stronger 'evidence' or disinformation in your favour is slowly 'seeded in.' Thus the uninformed reader will most likely develop the same position as you, and if their position is against you their opposition to your posting will be most likely dropped. However in some cases where the forum members are highly educated and can counter your disinformation with real facts and linked postings, you can then 'abort' the consensus cracking by initiating a 'forum slide.'
When you find yourself feeling like common sense and common courtesy aren’t as common as they ought to be, it is because there is a massive psychological operation controlled from the top down to ensure that as many people as possible are caught in a “tension based” mental loop that is inflicted on them by people acting with purpose to achieve goals that are not in the interest of the general population, but a method of operating in secret and corrupt manner without consequences. Notice that Jeffrey Katzenberg, of Disney, who is intertwined with Allen & Co funds the Young Turks. He is the perfect example of the relationship between media and politics.
Katzenberg has also been involved in politics. With his active support of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, he was called "one of Hollywood's premier political kingmakers and one of the Democratic Party's top national fundraisers."
Last week, former DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg’s new mobile entertainment company WndrCo was part of a $20 million funding round in TYT Network, which oversees 30 news and commentary shows covering politics, pop culture, sports and more. This includes the flagship “The Young Turks” program that streams live on YouTube every day. Other investors in the round included venture capital firms Greycroft Partners, E.ventures and 3L Capital, which led the round. This brings total funding for Young Turks to $24 million.
Hollywood activism long has been depicted as a club controlled by a handful of powerful white men: Katzenberg, Spielberg, Lear, David Geffen, Haim Saban and Bob Iger are the names most often mentioned. But a new generation of power brokers is ascendant, including J.J. Abrams and his wife, Katie McGrath, cited for their personal donations and bundling skills; Shonda Rhimes, who held a get-out-the-vote rally at USC's Galen Center on Sept. 28 that drew 10,000 people; CAA's Darnell Strom, who has hosted events for Nevada congresswoman Jacky Rosen and Arizona congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema; and former Spotify executive Troy Carter, who held three fundraisers for Maryland gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous (Carter also was a fundraiser for President Obama).
Viacom, after splitting off from Les Moonves Les Moonves ' CBS , still holds Paramount Pictures, and that movie studio in December agreed to acquire DreamWorks SKG, the creative shop founded by the Hollywood triumvirate of Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg (a former exec at The Walt Disney Co.). DreamWorks Animation had been spun off into a separate company. Now it's time for Freston to make back some money--and who better to do a little business with than George Soros? The billionaire financier leads a consortium of Soros Strategic Partners LP and Dune Entertainment II LLC, which together are buying the DreamWorks library--a collection of 59 flicks, including Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, and American Beauty.
The situation on the rift is dire, Riot has to step it up
Boosters, smurfers, traders of wins, duoq abusers, one tricks, people who can't play anything, first timers, ebay people, region transfers from EUNE, flamers, bitcoin miners, rage quitters and most importantly: abusers of broken champions. They have united against us and taken over ranked soloq, and ARAM. Riot needs to get rid of all of them to save the game, I'd start with 3 day temp bans, 14 day bans for those who didn't buy any skins recently.
I (25f) found my boyfriends (27m) conspiracy lair..
I’m a full time nurse, and have been with my boyfriend Karl for 4 years. We get along very well, and our honeymoon dating period seems to never end. We seldom fight. I would have, before last night, assumed I knew quite a bit about my boyfriends passions and ideals... I hope to be engaged to Karl someday soon. I love him to bits, he is the most hilarious and unique guy I’ve ever been with. This is not a post I’m writing in order to seek validation for aggressive action but how to navigate something quite bizarre. A bit of background: Karl has lots of money he made through selling all his bitcoins back in Decembejan 17/18. He made the bitcoin through runescape when he was younger, which is so fucking hilarious and I love that he’s a made man through runescape. The problem is since selling his coins in late 2017, he has quit his job in content creation and now part time assists on his aunties vineyard (where we live, in a small house onsite). It doesn’t require anything close to full time hours and he spends most of his time on his computer or with his friends thinking up business ideas.. this doesn’t particularly bother me as he’s just trying to figure out what he’s passionate about doing. .. it’s just lately I’ve noticed he has an increasing amount of spare time on his hands. The vineyard has a lot of different garages, for tractors and things like that. There’s a garage just for irrigation controls, which I hadn’t been into for over a year. Karl was out and I decided to try turn on the irrigation manually so the vines could get a little extra water. We’re in Australia and it’s been hot - usually this runs on a timer, but you can do it manual if you want. I also haven’t been inside this particular garage in a year because it’s almost always padlocked, what with water being a critical function of the vineyard and all.. I get to the door and the padlock is there but not locked in so I just walk inside. And fucking hell... It’s like a scene from true detective. Karl has printed out several A0 maps, made from A4 paper. There are countless pins and blue and red string connecting global locations and faces, some of which are easily recognisable. Its fucking unreal and looks like a war room in a film or something. All of the strings have different conspiracy theories like UFO’, 911, false flags, ancient aliens stuff. Beyond the maps and string there are shitloads of folders and stuff. It’s all ordered meticulously too, like real work has even been put into the design and layout of the room.... needless to stay I’m fucking flabbergasted. This is the work of somebody who has been collecting this kind of stuff for YEARS. There was 1000s of pages on people.. all of it was about child pedophile rings and satanic ritual abuse. It has a list of names, a lot I recognised, a lot I didn’t. Lots of stuff speculating around a “Pedo Island” for celebrities and that pizza gate crap that came out a couple year ago. How the hell do I approach my boyfriend about this? He has NEVER mentioned any of this stuff to me. He’s historically been a pretty normal guy without any crazy beliefs (I thought).. I also don’t know much about the content in question I’m hurt that he’s been hiding a considerable side of himself from me... it’s not even the fact it’s so bizarre, it’s the fact he’s hiding anything. Is he hiding other things from me maybe? That’s what it makes me ask myself. ——————— UPDATE. firstly thanks to those who offered any suggestion on how to approach him about it. I watched a short break down clip on pizzagate with the volume up while we were both sitting in the lounge.. one thing led to another. Basically.. Yeah it’s his stuff, and it’s what him, his mates and the vineyard manager have been doing while I’m at work occasionally. He went into a pretty big defence of it and it’s pretty obvious he is actually really into it. He made me read stuff on Mark Dutroux (?) some creep in Belgium linked to politicians, among other stuff... I’m not going to lie, some of that trafficking/ ritual abuse stuff is insanely evil, runs deep and seems pretty conclusive. Some of the other stuff he said was just there by proxy (ancient aliens) and he didn’t take as seriously. I told him I don’t want to frequently talk about any of this because it’s really affecting stuff and unashamedly I’d rather bury my head in the sand than further convince myself this stuff could be real.. because some of it clearly is. He understood and apologised for hiding this from me, and said he didn’t think a nurse would want their energies sucked away from them anymore than could be helped. I was both annoyed and charmed by this sentiment. I showed him this reddit post, which he was reasonably cagey about. He says he absolutely won’t allow me to take a photo for you. Fair enough. Other than than he was okay about it.. except a couple of people who said he doesn’t have money/couldn’t make it on a game. He got pretty defensive about that and is actually over my shoulder dictating to me right now what to say: He played pretty much full time from 2009-2012 and sold in game money, items, bots and helping people with their accounts using bitcoins after the developers banned sales using real money on EBay. He says the coins were worth not much when he made them, and that he made a lot of them and hung on to them. I know this is true because I’ve literally been with him through the transition of him going from poor to rich overnight. I’ve seen the money. Thanks again to everyone. So yeah, turns out it’s a joint operation with his buddies. Also turns out some of its more viable than I want to believe. I’ll be putting my head back in the sand. We bonded over it though, and yeah maybe I will marry him. He quite liked those comments. Eloise
Edits 2 Bogaloo: Whew, six months already. Flairs are finally updated as of morning 24th October (PDT) for this entire post. IF YOU DID NOT CONFIRM (or even post, smh to the both of you) then you were not and WILL NOT be awarded flair for the transaction. I will not accept late-comers. The State of the Subreddit post is scheduled for one of the early weekends in November. Emergency Edit: Somehow, multiple people were scammed by one u/Kvazquez11711 at around the same time. I don't think he evaded the USL filter, but in the case he has said user will be explicitly banned from this subreddit. If you suspect he's made an alt to return, I'd like everyone's full support in reporting him to your local police department. Due to the above user's current habit of making alt accounts, we'd like to warn against judging an account's trustworthiness based on eBay accounts of the same name, without messaging the eBay account to verify. We also have seen poor results in funds recovery with Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Bitcoin-like cryptocurrencies. Please beware if using one of these payment methods. As always, the safest method to pay (as a buyer) is still via PayPal. Post your confirmed buy/sell/trades below, When confirming a post type "Confirmed" only (nothing else) because of the convention, and because if you don't, we won't be able to confirm your trades and give you cool flairs :( A REMINDER: GO AND UPDATE YOUR FLAIRS TO PURCHASED / SOLD. My manual updating of thousands of posts is getting more and more tiring -- when the bot is finally rolled out - you will not even be able to make a post until you flair it, so get in the habit! (Posts not set with flair within 5 minutes are eligible to be marked Sold / Purchased / Traded, please see rule 5 for more details.) Starting the calendar year 2019, flairs were entered in the Reddit redesign. If you lost your flairs from the old design (and you care to have them back), please give us a mod message before July 2, 2019 (JST). If more mods/bot (I'm back to doing a bit of coding on the off-time of my University thesis) request a proof, please send a modmail (message to the subreddit) including the following:

As a pure marketplace, eBay would not be affected by Bitcoin valuation fluctuations since eBay users (ie buyers and sellers) would buy and sell in Bitcoin but eBay would collect fees in fiat currency (ie USD for example). For sellers on eBay this means that they will be bearing the most of the risk as they would be the ones receiving a volatile currency in exchange for their products. Paxful, a peer-to-peer bitcoin startup, saw record trading volumes after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on cryptocurrencies in March.
